Perrilloux is a rollercoaster. One second it seems like he's definitely going to LSU, the next second it seems like he's definitely going to Texas.
I'll say this about Ryan Perrilloux and Longhorn fans should heed this...RP attended numerous LSU practices all season long and a majority of the LSU home games. He is friends with a number of current LSU players and when a kid's mother is said to have hugged the neck and quoted as say "I love him" in relation to LSU Coach Les Miles...all adds up to one thing - RP will be wearing purple and gold this fall and not burnt orange.
I saw this kid play Hahnville this year, and I still don't think most Tiger fans understand fully the caliber of athlete LSU would be getting if your post is correct.
Why didn't Perriloux just wait to commit? Why doesn't he decommit now if he is 50-50 or something? I would think he is going to go to Texas or he would have decommitted by now. I don't get this junk about committing to a school and then going on visits to other schools and saying you are 50-50. Just wait to commit if that is the case. Can someone explain Perriloux's reasoning on this? It seems squirrely?
He did an interview with L'observer (I think that's the one..posted on TB) where he said he committed early to keep his phone from ringing off the hook all these months when he was trying to focus on making a decision and playing sports. By committing when he did, he nipped a large number of those in the bud - because otherwise he would have had 50+ schools calling every week. Was probably recommended to him to do so by family/coach, and it was a good move IMO. He said he chose Texas because he felt he could come in and compete for starting job right away, but also noted that he didn't expect Young to have quite the year he had and mentioned it would impact his decision. I don't think there is a huge hidden agenda with Ryan. He liked Saban but knew the players thought he was an ass. His mom didn't like Nick very much, nor did his coacch...so couple that with his impressions of UT and Mack Brown - that is where he chose to verbal. With Nick gone, Vince a super star, and his family, friends, and coach all loving Les and his staff's intentions - it is a good bet that he'll come to LSU. After all, he has been to an awful lot of practices and games - and by all accounts he has many many friends on the team with which he feels familiar. He likes attention for sure - but one poster said here what I believe to be the most accurate description of Ryan's thoughts. The guy knows his family and said he truly does change his mind a lot, everytime he meets with a coach and it goes well, he has a very good overall feeling about the school and it makes him waiver. This is before he threw Miss. St. and South Florida into the mix. Those coaches obviously had a good meeting with him.
He is a kid. He does not like to tell any one no. Besides why can't he let all of these schools try to wine and dine him if he wants? If someone wanted you to work for them and they wanted to take you over to their place and show you all they had to offer would you just tell them no or would you check it out?
Yea, it's going to be a few years until he's wined and dined like this. I would eat it up too! Don't hate the player, hate the game!
