Yeh I dont remember what year I just remember me and some friend from Dallas went to the game and it was just freezing cold.
Had to be in the 90s or early 2000s.

but I just remember being at the tailgate and game and it was so cold.

I assume your definition of cold is much different from mine.

Up here in the north, the first morning in fall that I walk out of my house feeling nice, brisk, crispy air, I say...."feels like football weather".

Now i'm not saying I like it bitter cold. I've been to some Eagles playoff games when the wind chill was below zero. That's damned cold and no amount of alcohol can restore feeling to the extremities.

But give me a nice, autumn Saturday with temperatures in the 40's....now that's football weather!

Went to an LSU-Alabama game at Legion Field back in the late 60's, my feet get cold just thunking about it now.

We're just not used to cold weather that often down in the South. That's not to say it doesn't get cold in Baton Rouge, but just not that often. It was pretty cold by 3rd overtime in the Arkansas game in '07. This year, the weather was perfect.

Of course, you Yankees might have trouble in places like Texas or Oklahoma when it's 110 degrees in August--or trying to handle 94 degrees and 90% humidity in Baton Rouge in July.

I agree with you Stacey. Hot and humid is not football weather to me.

It is HERE for the entire month of September. But it sucks to be that sweaty at a football game in which you are not participating.

One can still get a nasty sunburn in October in Tiger Stadium during the day, too.

Probably not as good in cold weather as some, but the teams up here in big ten country have no clue how to play in a southern summer.

For me the coldest was the 2001 Florida game in Tiger Stadium. Was supposed to be 70 degrees... and WAS when I left home at 6am, by the time I got to BR 2 hrs later it was about 30 degrees cooler and falling... we were wearing shorts and tees... then it started raining about game time (late afternoon) by dark I was miserable. No coffee OR hot chocolate in the concession stands. But, I could get an ice cold lemonade or an ice cream! This was back when you could still smoke on the ramps and such.. just not in the stands/seats themselves; I seem to remember taking a LOT of smoke breaks trying to warm myself with either the heat from my cigarette or ducking into the bathroom and using the hand dryer.
