Guess I can start it, from Dandy Don: When Purdue played Notre Dame last year, Etling connected on 27-of-40 passes for 234 yards, two scores and two interceptions in a 30-14 loss. By comparison, when LSU played Notre Dame last year, Anthony Jennings connected on 7-of-14 passes for 151 yards, one score and no interceptions in a 31-28 loss.
That says a lot! Better numbers than AJ with zero talent around him while LSU QB's have been surrounded by top notch talent. What would Jennings numbers look like if he played at Purdue?
I'm not sure. With their talent level he'd probably be a good scat back catching passes out of the backfield. I'm just saying if he did play QB for them, would he even complete 40% of his passes?
