Cajun Punk is telling you what he hopes will happen. It's too difficult bashing Miles 24/7 while he's undefeated. The negatigers need a little more ammo.
You do realize that we are playing the 2010 Florida team and not one of the 2006-2009 Florida teams right? Our offense has looked terrible and is ranked 91st amongst the FBS schools. Theirs isn't much better. It ranks 84th. Our defense is supperior and I can't imagine that our special teams are not better. How anyone can look at this game and say the best case scenario is 21-20 win is beyond me. That all said I anticipate a close, low scoring game that we may lose. Florida has not shown me enough that I think them scoring 28 is even possible.
You know what that tells me? It tells me that there isn't much difference between being the 80th ranked team on offense, and the 120th. I mean if 1 game with over 400 yards of offense can catapult us from 100 something to 91st. Just think what would happen if we started to get over 400 a game.
Given your logic, we should have blown out a vastly depleted Tennessee team that had over 40% of their team on their first road game, with also 21 fewer scholarships than LSU (not to mention their struggles on the offensive line and against other sub-par teams). A WAY, WAY worse team than LSU. Yet, it was a 4 point game that was decided by a last second penalty IN TIGER STADIUM. We didn't play the Tennessee team from 1998, dude. It was the 2010 team in our house. Do you realize this? No matter how bad UF might be, Lee will poop his pants this week in the Swamp, a very raucous environment. I hope you are right, but LSU's stupid coaching + poor offense will come to a head this weekend.
I'm beginning to think our team might receive a warmer welcome in the Swamp than they've been receiving at home.
But that's football, man. Yes, Tennessee is not a good football team, and may very well be the worst team we have played. If not the worst, at least no better than MSU, a team we beat by 22. That's why the game is played. Yes, we should have blown them out. We doubled their offensive production but killed ourselves with turnovers and penalties. 434 yards/game would put us in the top 30. Take out the turnovers, and our offense was plenty good enough Saturday to beat Florida.
Everyone's been saying that there really wasn't any booing until the very end of the Tennessee game. You're crazy if you think it will be the same atmosphere in The Swamp.
