3 of the top 10 passing seasons in Auburn history is with Jimbo as QB coach (including #1) 5 of the top 10 offenses in LSU history came during his 7 years here. Hell, he even turned Josh freaking Booty into an All-SEC quarterback. Rohan, Mauck, Jamarcus, Flynn. all Jimbo QBs. took an FSU program that was heading backwards faster than were were and immediately put them back on the map. has a higher winning % there than Bowden did. top 5 recruiter 3 conference titles 1 national title 1 playoff appearance
Jimbo is and should be the clear cut #1 priority in our search. His resume speaks for itself! If he turns us down, we need to look at other Top 10-15, sitting, Power 5 Head coaches. Period. Guys like PJ Fleck, who are winning at Western Michigan, would need to go win/ be successful at Kentucky, or Ga Tech or an Arizona BEFORE they should be considered at LSU.
With Myles Brennan coming in, I believe Fisher could have a Heisman winner after he gets his hands on him.
I buy that but my point was the team looked the same in both losses as it did in the losses with Les. I loved Les and I am not taking a cheap shot at him. The offensive woes are in our DNA and it rears its ugly head against better defenses. Plays don't get in on time, play calling gets predictable, etc, etc. I don't follow USC unless it's a big game like a bowl or something so I'm not sure what happened over there, just commenting on what I saw with LSU. I think if Les & Cam would have focused on our offense this year and opened it up we could have won it all this year. Our D is a championship D even with holes at certain position because the coaching is great, too bad we are not the same on ST and offense.
