After these two games, and yes even with some bad plays, I have to say that I like what am seeing from LSU. I like all the mix of players and the mix of new looks and the fact that so many young guys are out there make'n plays.. Yea, some things could have been crisper in UW, but they were a lot crisper vs Vandy. Vandy did have one good drive that could have ended earlier given some crisper play. These things will come. I think mid season this LSU team will be very very strong. I think its more of a matter of the players and coaches reaching that same page together and start clicking. Obviously it hasn't happened yet. But most of us know we were and are a few crisp plays from some blow outs of two good teams. Either way, I like JJ and think hes is doing a great job given the game circumstances. Yea he has had some bad plays, but i commend him for not making game changing decisions. I.E no ints and keeping the game in LSU's hads regardless of the coaching.... I liked the fire I saw last night on both sides, just wish it wasn't so sloppy last night. :geaux:
We will continue to improve. JJ gaining more experience, more Shepard every week, and the D making a marked improvement between weeks and 1 and 2. :geauxtige
That's for sure. I think others have said it in other threads -- it's good to schedule tougher games now rather than cupcakes. I think we'll be better for it come the tough part of the SEC schedule. :geauxtige
