Even a BAMMER can see it! ...although most of his UGLY incompletions and the INT that ended up being returned all rest squarely on his shoulders. Two INTs were forced (although that pass to Byrd should never have been thrown to him), and one should never have been called, as RE said. You make those calls when you have an upperclassman signal-caller...not a RS frosh. But I agree with you, too, Crip...to an extent. SOMETHING has to change - whether it be he finally finds himself or somebody else steps up - or we'll be squandering a promising end to this season and a pretty nice set-up for next season.
No, you are looking at one game and we are looking at a season. Almost half of his interceptions are returned for TD's. There is a real problem with a freshmen throwing interceptions here.
hmmmm, lets see, over 200 yards rushing.... 3 touchdowns. You guys scored one touchdown on a pick six, and one touchdown on a drive off of a turnover. i would pretty much say that uh... yeah if we would have had capable quarterback play your dreams would have ended earlier than they are going to. The pick six was a horribly thrown ball that went right to your defender, glad he can catch. the other pick that lead to a scoring drive was off of a pass that should have been caught by one of our receivers. Your stud Cody got man handled all game (by brett helms, and by his back up, in one on one situations) as did your defensive line so i apologize if im not ready to crown your defense the 03 tigers. We lost the game. I give your team credit for being able to capitalize on gifts, and i give julio jones a hell of alot of credit, dude is a stud. best true freshman i have seen play in a long time.
I bolded keywords... Cody wasn't the same obviously. He sat out 2 games with a knee injury and looked to be ready for LSU but that's not a good OL to get warmed up on. Gifts? Obviously you didn't see that touchback in the endzone that might have been 6? What about the extremely short field Bama gave LSU when Arenas fumbled the kickoff inside the 30? I mean come on...Both teams capitalized on errors and both teams made a few of them. You say these things like Alabama played their best game of the season and LSU their worst when that's not the case. Yes, I am looking at one game. I'm not sure if you've noticed but much of the LSU fanbase have layed the loss to Alabama SQUARELY on Jarrett Lee's shoulders. If I have a nickel for every "if we would have had even an average QB, you would have lost", I would be on the cover of Forbes.
You tell me...If ifs and buts were candy and nuts. 27-21... #1 in the nation... Easily SEC West Champs... Thank you come again. :thumb:
Savor the flavor . . . you haven't won any trophies in a long . . . long . . . long time. And you surely haven't won any this year.
Thank you go away. This thread is about LSU vs. Troy. Shouldn't you be worrying about getting Croomed again?
