Yes we have 6 wins which makes us bowl eligible however if we were to say lose our next 3 games putting us at 6 - 6 with 4 straight loses...it would be intresting to say the lest.
Does Appy State count since they aren't division 1 ? In any event, Cotton and Cap One are looking at LSU: http://www.shreveporttimes.com/article/20081112/SPORTS0202/811120357/1001/SPORTS
My, my...the sky is really falling now, isn't it... We hang tight with the number one team in the nation...we score 38 points on Georgia...we're 6-3 after playing the meat our SEC schedule...we haven't truly struggled with any team ranked outside the top ten... And now we suddenly are unable to beat Troy, Ole Miss, and Arkansas? Give me a break...the only threat I see left is Ole Miss, and I really believe LSU will take care of business.
I agree completely. Ole Miss always plays us tough, but Arkansas? Guys, they are beyond bad and will truly be beleagured beyond belief by the day after Thanksgiving. The only game where we were straight-up whipped was Florida (who HAS to be most folks' frontrunner to win the NC.) We had our chances against UGA, and we all know how close Bama was (which, in fact, is why so many of feel lousy about that one.)
The #1 team in the nation turned the ball over 3 times..dont forget that. Any team that turns the ball over that many times in a game SHOULD and usuallly loses. What I am looking at is the mentalty of the team. We lose a close game to Bama...one that we should have WON. What happens if Lee comes out against Troy and right off the bat throws a Pick 6...what will happen to this team if Troy gets up first or is leading at halftime. Losing the Bama game in the fashion that it happened hurt in more ways then hust the standings!
The problem with Arky is they ALWAYS play us tough or find some mircale way to win when we have to play them up there!
you guys will be fine. Troy isn't really that good, thought they play much tougher than they are talented. We wound up wearing them down, (instead of just beating them down, like I had hoped), and by the fourth quarter, they didn't have much left. I seriously doubt it's that close. I'm gonna say 45-13 LSU. That said, my guess is that you guys end up in the Cap One bowl, at least that's what i've seen in some projections, against either MSU, or, my Buckeyes. My question is, whether you guys think that will happen, or if it's more likely going to be Georgia in that game. where would you guys end up if that's the case? Good luck as always, tough game last week, but shows the talent that you have. Miles will get you there, and I look for a strong finish to this year, and a very tough LSU team next year.
Actually...the loser of the SECCG will go to the Cap One bowl, IMO. The winner will go on to the BCSCG, Georgia will likely fall azz-first into the Sugar Bowl, and LSU will be seeing Cotton if we win out. If we lose one more, we're likely Chick-Fil-A bound. Thanks for the Kudos. Happy hunting in the Big Ten next year...it appears to be yours for the taking.
