LSU defeated North Texas in the 2nd game of the season on Sept 13 by a score of 41-3. LSU rushed for 216 yds and passed for 209 yds. LSU allowed 44 rushing yds and 155 passing yds. Troy defeated North Texas on Oct 15 by a score of 45-17. Troy rushed for 108 yds and passed for 391 yds. Troy allowed 92 rushing yds and 246 passing yds.

Ohio St only led Troy 14-10 in the 4th Q before putting the game out of reach late.

I don't expect LSU to overlook a very hungry Troy team. IMO we will come out with a vengeance and take out last weeks frustrating loss on Troy. I antiicpate scoring early and often. I expect nothing less than a shutout from our stingiest defensive effort yet. I think we will see a breakout game from Lee and a large dose of Jefferson during a mop up 2nd half.

Is it true that Troy is on their 3rd string QB now, due to injuries to the other two?

I heard something along those lines. And supposedly it's not just their QB. They're depleted all-around. It shouldn't be that much of a test. I expect a Tulane-esque performance. Ole Miss will be the next great effort we see, IMO.

Sounds like a good game to break in a new backup quarterback.

He is the master at "coachspeak". This has been a very odd year to say the least.

Sometimes I wonder if it really is "coachspeak" or if thats just how he is!

I am glad we are playing this team while there are hurting, I would be worried if they were at full strenght I think we would have to bring an A game to beat em.

I want to see 2 things this weekend:

1.) How the team responds after the lose to Bama and game that should/could/would been won!

Do they rise above it and pound Troy into the ground or has the fight left them and they are looking forward to next season?

2.) Jefferson getting QUAILTY playing time!

Les will not shut up the critics unless he puts this kid in so the world can see what he has.

If he is light years ahead of Lee even against Troy Miles will take some heat for not playing him at least alittle against Bama.

If he is not ready and looks as bad OR worse then Lee, we MIGHT not make a bowl game!

Yes we are, but with so many bowls that doesn't guarantee a bowl invite. However, even with LSU's troubles any bowl would be stupid to pass on LSU.
