Is on WNTZ fox 48 right now, Florida vs. LSU 1997 is the game that is on. All eyes on 3, Herb Tyler had a great game, as did the LSU defense. Damn i forgot Jevan Kearse played in this game.

Man, SEC officials sucked back then too, missed an obvious fumble by Doug Johnson and a blatent cheap shot on Herb Tyler way after he threw the ball. LSU was loaded, Dinardo may be the worst coach in history.

One of the best OL played in that game, Alan Faneca. An the center for that game, Todd McClure.

You could take a vote for Dinardo being the worst coach and could be the only one voting that way........

LSU vs. Florida in 97 was an amazing experience, that was one of the best nights of my life! Despite the unbelievably frustrating loss to Auburn, the close win against Vanderbilt the previous week and Cecil being lost for the season, with almost no reason to think we could win the players and the crowd were as fired up as I have ever seen!

Speaking of replays, LSU at Florida replay from last year will be showing on the Sunshine Sports Network starting at 7:30 this morning. It's the Florida announcers, so hearing their call at the end of the game is likely to be entertaining :)

Cox Sports has started their replays, MSU is on tap for tonight.

Dinardo took over from the absolute worst coach in LSU history Curley Hallman. Hallman rode Brett Favre's back to the job when no one else would take it. Hallman alienated everyone with his shennanigans. A friend of mine had a son on that team and the stories he told.
Dinardo did "Bring back the Magic" and set the table for Little Nicky. Remember he turned a program with 6 straight losing seasons around. Gerry just couldn't handle success and let foolish pride get in the way.

You never saw Curley Hallman, obviously.

I just watched the unc game on espnu. That 2nd half last was LSU at it worst..

Man I almost couldn't watch that offense is hard to watch sometimes.

I really hope we don't have another year of that.....

All this talk of previous seasons made me go back and watch the '07 Florida game. I was there that night and to this day I get an adrenaline rush from watching the second half of that game even though I've seen it many times over.

Just a little under 54 days, and it's on!

I was there. South end zone about 10 rows from the top. :thumb:
We 'taped' the game so we could watch it when we got home. What I remember most is Ron Franklin's call of Ced Donaldson's pick/6 -'...and-he-will-score'!

You ain't kidding. I've been to a lot of games in my time, but the crowd that night was one of the most electric I've ever experienced. I know it's cliche', but you could literally feel the hairs on the back of you neck standing up. You could just tell we were going to win.

Besides both NC games and my 1st game in Tiger Stadium (the EQ game), the '97 Fla. game is the best regular season game I've ever been to.
