Unfortunately some of our fans still feel that he's a traitor. I've known this was going to happen for a while and thought it was pretty dumb. Hopefully they've gotten this out of their system now and we won't continue to see this every time Saban comes to Baton Rouge.
What gets me is Mike the tiger was there according to the media. How could the University condone this? Just bad press if you ask me.I lived and worked At the hospital in Baton Rouge for a time and the majority of LSU fans are great and kind people....:thumb:
It was someone in a (poorly made) tiger costume. Definitely not an official Mike the Tiger. If you watched Gameday this morning they've shown the footage a couple of times.
At least they cut coverage before the Saban effigy disappeared and all that was left was a burning cross.
Nick Saban is not liked here; what is the problem? I don't get it. I think there is a lot more worth bitching about than this. JMHO. Nick Saban isn't a traitor. He's a ****ing mercenary. Somehow I suspect he would have kept Perilloux on the team. Nick has a win-at-all-costs mentality. Still, I am greatful for him rebuilding the Program when he did.
Whats the problem? I am an LSU football fanatic, but i find the burning completely disgusting. I don't care if he is not liked, this is a football game not the fricking War of the Roses. Celebrate the team not doe stupid crap like this.
