Agree, don't change shit. Run man, LSU's corners have the advantage. Only problem is when you run man your back is to the qb, and his running ability is a threat. Just look at what the backup for Ole Miss looked like against LSU. I'm actually glad that kid came in the game and I wish he had stayed because it would have been good for LSU to get more of that look. Delpit and Battle are going to have to do better in run support and making tackles but I don't think you play them close to the line of scrimmage, unless you are disguising coverage or blitzing. I don't know, I hope LSU comes out and fights like hell. This defense has a little more swagger, Key is getting better, White is like the Tasmanian devil, Toliver is starting to play light years better, Donte just shuts people down and Greedy will just continue to get better. Corey Thompson has been quiet of late but I look for him to really step up being it's his 6th and final chance at getting a victory over Alabama. Gilmore has played about as good as you could hope for, and even LaCouture has played well recently. Hopefully all hands on deck and we can use Lawerence, Alexander, Gilmore, LaCouture, Logan, and Herron. Here's a little trivia for you. LSU has won once in Bryant Denny since 07, obviously the 2011 game when no one scored a TD. So from 09, 13, and 15 what LSU qb's have thrown TD passes in that stadium in those games, what receivers caught TD's and what tailbacks scored TD's?
Man, I would have to cheat and look it up I don't remember offhand I have been watching last years game all week. But I agree with all you said, I think this Defense is ready for the challenge.
I LIVE in Montgomery, Alabama around the trash that is bama fan. I hear them every week. This is the only time ALL year I have heard them nervous before a game, unless I have my LSU gear on, then it's typical false bravado trash... Alabama is the trashiest fan base in the country.
Went over your head SPD. Statistically speaking, gumps are 9x more likely to be violently attacked by other gumps for not being true fans than any other class of individuals. That risk doubles for spouses after a loss. @TerryP has all the figures for you.
