Last f-ing year was a bitter pill to take. Freaking 3 holds for that shit to run in for the TD and the refs staring at them. Freaking disgraceful. Sad thing is you talk to people (terryp )and this stuff never happened or there is some convoluted reason why these were the "right calls". No doubt we have to beat the gumps and the gump-refs
Yeah that sucked. It was clear as day. Sadly though, we could have played another 30 quarters and wouldn't have scored.
SEC Offical: "what holds I don't see any holds" Gump booster: "yessss very good" as he drops his bag of money at the refs feet
Interesting stats: Jalen Hurts 95-151 passing for 62.9% completion. 1223 yards 8.1 9 Td's 1 Int QB rating 149.3 Danny Etling 93-155 60.0% 1452 yards 9.4 ypc 9 Td's 1 Int. QB rating 156.6
Looking at their rushing stats for this year... Hurts has 84 rushes for 572 yards (6.8 average) and 6 touchdowns while Etling has 41 rushes for 95 yards (2.3 average) and 1 touchdown. I hope it comes down to a passing game where Etling has the advantage.
You Bring the safeties in the box Hurts is inaccurate deep. Our corners are proven one on one anyway and can be trusted. Aranda is a master and will have this defended. He did last year.
I think Bama would like for a team to bring safeties in the box. That gives Hurts one read - which is easy for him - and it allows their running backs to get in space in 1on1 matchups, which they destroy. Play normal and make him go through progressions. The front seven is going to have to do the work themselves and I think they can slow down Bama's running game and make them throw it on 3rd down. edit: watching one of those film room things on sec network... saban said they want to get the safeties up to help their passing game. this now makes me a hof armchair head coach.
I've seen no such thing. I've heard no such thing. It's likely another tough ball game but worried? The only mention I've seen of LSU in the last couple of days has been from conversations about Girardi visiting Saturday.
