The media at Alabama are better than the media at LSU as far as support for the program. At least the Alabama media gives positive stories about it's program during the week, instead of being like the LSU media and telling the fans how bad we are and how many points we will lose by.
Your talking to someone who has worked in the field. Your talking to someone who still works in the field. Granted, the ass side of Saban has grown since his days at LSU. That said, the microscope ... you want to compare the spotlight of a coach at LSU versus Bama with the media? I know it's harsh out of the Advocate, etc. It's not the same thing in Tuscaloosa. Every coach is living up to an icon in Tuscaloosa. It's not the case in very many places.
@TerryP Nick is passing that icon if you ask me. When it’s all said and done he’ll stand alone at this pace.
its just a product of winning. dubose and shula had it way worse than miles ever did. if saban didnt back it up he'd get shit on too.
I wonder if it means anything that literally no one (media) is even considering anything other than an easy gump win. Would be so funny if we shock the world
1) LSU games were fun to watch for neutral fans. Always close with a bunch of crazy shit in the 4Q. Bama games are like watching a boa constrictor toy with a mouse before finally killing and devouring it. 2) "Period of prominence" is a good way to put it. Alabama is in more of a "period of unprecedented dominance." They have turned what was once the most competitive conference in the sport into a one-team league. They are like the Patriots, including the prickly coach.
