Yes, tourism dollars do make their rounds. Next time you're in Asheville, give me a yell. It's a great place.

Our church sent groups to Lacombe every other month for about a year. Our youth group has been down twice as well. I got to be in one of the youth group trips - great experience, met some really great folks, learned a ton about roofing in mid-July! Our youth learn bunches of construction skills on the job. It's really neat to see the faces of some of the homeowners when our 10th grade girls come out running the nail guns like pros and laying down shingles.

We're looking forward to a great time - with no construction work - this weekend. See you at the game!

Sounds Like whoever does the LSU scheduling isn't on the ball...they wait to the last minute unlike other programs who have their stuff together...LSU is ALWAYS needing a game at the last minute...so our desperation equals getting gorged

Isn't this free market rather than welfare?

If a loss or 2 couldn't end a season (in most years last year was the exception) then the big schools would play each other alot more in OOC games. I am pretty sure LSU crushing VaTech last year put them in the championship game and what collage football fan doesn't like watching big time OOC games. I am pretty sure OSU/USC will be one of the most watched games this year. I know I plan on watching Clemson and Alabama this weekend for sure.

We all know a playoff system would end this problem but don't see that happeneing anytime soon.

So you want to fix the market rather than let it take care of itself. How very liberal of you. I'm sick and tired of liberals complaining about capitalism.

I agree with the Buckeye, we need a playoff. A well designed playoff would increase the incentive for nonBCS schools to schedule teams like LSU. Instead, 1a college football uses the BullCrapSystem to determine a national champion. The chance of a nonBCS school to play for a national championship is almost nil.

Is the bunny accoutrement? Do I put that thing in my mouth with the pancake? Typical liberal smokescreen to deflect the true subject of discussion.

What incentive do nonBCS teams have to play LSU? Right now, money is the only incentive. If a fairly and smartly designed playoff were adopted that allowed all teams a real chance to play for the national championship, adding a team like LSU to one's schedule could really boost a teams strength of schedule, even in a hard fought loss. Currently, nonBCS teams get as much out of playing other nonBCS teams than they do playing LSU, save for extra dollars.

Why don't you ask around about how liberal I am?
