My on-line bookie has LSU vs NC as a "pick em" game. This seems about right to me. What got me to scratching my head was the prop bets on total wins for the regular season. For LSU the over/under number is 8 wins. The over pays +110, and the under is -130. This means that a $100 bet on LSU to win 9 games or more pays $110. If you bet $100 that LSU wins 7 games or less it pays $77. An 8-4 season would be a push. It seems the bookies think it is more likely that the under will win. This doesn't sound too promising for Les. A 7 win season or worse will probably get him fired.

Bookies base their odds off what they have seen. Nobody has seen the offense be productive. And our schedule is much harder this year.

But that is why they play the games.

They only need to get 50% of people to pick an outcome, and 50% for the other side. Outside of LSU, some people picked us 4th already, so if they believe that 7 wins would be realistic to them. It's not the bookies that aren't giving us respect, it's the other people betting against us.

This is a prime example of a vegas line. STAY AWAY FROM IT!!!!! they have it set up right where they want it so that they get equal money on both sides of the line. Find another team to play with.
