Well I should have been a bit more clear, over 25% you see a drop off. :/ And you are right the driving and engine matter.
Nope, if I run 100% gas I can get close to 400, probably 420 or do but never pushed it. If I run 10% I get about 280
Ethanol is the biggest scam perpetrated on the US by ourselves ever. Worse mileage, higher food costs, small engine problems, and the cost to produce it does not offset the benefit. Thank you corn growing Republican and Democrat run States. I can buy a new mower or chainsaw, but there are a lot of folks that this really hurts.
The more corn they use for ethanol the less there is available for cattle feed, thus driving up the cost of meat.
Yep, if it weren't for the stations that still sell 100% gas I'd have to buy a new truck, or a newer one at least.
I've never noticed a change in mpg with ethanol. I'm gonna pay attention though and see what I come up with.
It depends on the car or motor I guess. Wife had an '08 expedition and the drop was far less noticeable. So I think the newer cars (you know, after Obama became prez) are made to be able to run that garbage somewhat efficiently. I know my truck hates it.
i get a lot less mpg using 10%. runs a lot better on no ethanol and since i use premium im glad the cost has gone way down. makes it much easier to swallow especially during the summer roadtrips.
