i dont think anyone is trying to say that either LSU line approaches the quality of the Saints' lines. maybe these college linemen will be as good in 5-10 yrs, but thats a big maybe. i'd think the best you could expect is half of them to be nfl starters in 5 yrs.

Well when I say "we're gonna be in every game", that means even with faulty play by our QB in say the Auburn game or the Georgia game, we will still be in the game due to solely the outstanding play of the D-line and O-line. Obviously we will dominate most teams on our schedule this year because of our lines.

I believe this is the best combined O-line and D-line in LSU history. The 2003 team is definitely in discussion for this argument.

you really think so? LSU only dominated a few last year--MSU, VaTech, and OSU. maybe USC.

Tyson Jackson and Pittman need to be added to the top 6.

No one is comparing the abilities of the Saints and LSU lines just the size. It shows that many of our lineman have NFL ready size. Many LSU fans have stated over the last few months that without Dorsey our Dline is likely to be better than last year overall.

Al Woods has been lost in the shuffle the last few years because of the quality we have at the position but he has shown great promise and will get even more playing time this year to showcase how good he can be. On LSU dline you have to wait your turn and his time is approaching.

I have not seen a lack of respect for our lines or Marlon Favorte as you are implying.

LSU dominated MSU, Va Tech, Middle Tennessee, Tulane, and La Tech.

That's five of twelve regular season games.

Add in USC and Ole Miss as "winning handily"...even if it wasn't in truly DOMINATING fashion, and you've got seven of twelve reg. season games.

This season, Arkansas will not be as good and our non-conference slate appears to be MUCH easier than last year's. It's not out of the question to believe that LSU will dominate most of its competition this year.

Our OL wasn't as seasoned last year, and Carnell Stewart was a liability many times. Is Barksdale his replacement? If so, should be an upgrade.

Our DL was plagued with injuries/suspensions (RJF) last year.

I look for our lines (if healthy) to eclipse the play from last season.

I meant the youtube link, not bayoubengalblog. Like John said, the video has been removed. Oh well.

Last year, 20 points allowed per game. This year, they could allow about 14 or even fewer if the group stays healthy.

LSU is getting overlooked because of the flap about QB, but could become the favorite in every game they play. I'm expecting few or no offenses to score 20 on us. Combine that with an OC like Gary Crowton and an O-line that will play on Sunday, and we could win every game we play.

No one can look at a single game on the schedule and say "LSU will definitely lose that game". 12-0 is not an impossibility.

If the "Cheese" & Company stay healthy, LSU will be in every game that's predicted to be tough. The Cheese (Alexander) has not been mentioned for any awards and he gets little respect, but he'll be our best defensive lineman this year. The weight gain is all muscle mass. This stud is ready for Sundays. When he went out last year, LSU stopped stomping opponents, and just continued to outscore them.

Folks haven't been giving the Cheese his due, and Woods will also make his presence known this year.

The second post said it all "Beasts" :hihi:

i agree, but to expect domination in every game from lines that dominated against maybe 3 good opponents last year is a bit much.

Not likely. LSU will probably not be the favorite on the road versus Auburn and Florida. Maybe not even at home versus Georgia.
