So who is this guy with the uniform...err... suggestions. The baseball team is hosting a regional as the No. 3 National Seed and our fellow Tiger Fan (and I use that term loosely) is discussing the latest in fashion trends. I could understand if it is July and there isn't a darn thing LSU to speak of. But come on friend, lets leave the fashion police conversations to the offseason blahs.
You know this conersation starts every off season, this or the different helmet conversation. We just got an unbaseball fan who is jittery for football season to get underway. I agree though we have another month of great baseball ahead of us and we really need to concentrate on and enjoy it. Omaha here we come.
I'm not really for changing uniforms either, but I think it would be interesting to see what kind of ideas people could come up with...especially for the helmets.
Well, it seems that new uniforms always revive a franchise, just to name a few off the top of my head: Denver changed in 1997 and went to the superbowl in '98 and '99, the Bucs started winning when they went to the pewter jerseys after 20 years of sucking, the damn Cardinals went to the super bowl the year after making the Cardinal on their helmets look mad, the Devil Rays changed to the Rays and went to the World Series last year, I can't remember if the Patriots had new jerseys before or after their super runs or the Rams going gold and not yellow but I'm pretty sure they were still yellow during their first superbowl during the late 90's. The D-Backs won the world series in 2001, but following that finished near last in the division until chaning jerseys in 2007 and then made it to the NLCS. The true test will be the lions because they just changed their logo, so the real test has just begun. The seahawks change their jersyes a bit and went to the playoffs for 5 straight years after just 1 appearance in 15 years. The Falcons too. I'm not saying LSU should change their uniforms because they are great the way they are but changing uniforms can really help change the attitude of a team for some reason, I'm sure there are examples of the opposite happening but in recent history it seems that change is almost always for the better
i do miss the white helmets and gold jerseys (the jersey wore against ND in the indy bowl not the vandy version) as an alternate.
I wouldn't mind more than one uniform and if they did a vote majority of the players wouldnt mind having more than one uniform. Definitely like the white helmets too. Thanks and welcome to the board Firestone
the Rams changed their color scheme the year after winning the super bowl, but all the others changed right before going. Anyone for a new helmet design for the Saints? (not really, but if that's what it takes to get to the super bowl, i'm for it.)
Dude, Take a chill pill. The guy was just posting his thought. No need to be an a$$ about it. If you don't like it, then say so in a respectful manner. You don't have to be a jerk like that. It is people like you that give us TRUE LSU fans a bad name. Why don't you do us all a favor and stop posting on here. This has always been a friendly site and we don't need attitudes like yours on here.
