a good idea in case you forget to bring your own, but at $20 they are bending you over your chair back. hell you could probably find a similar or better one in the union for alot less.

I got one because I am going to three away games and will not be able to pick up WWL to listen to the Tiger Network. At one time LSU fans could get the network while in visiting stadiums, but the signal was not always that good and would change for stadium to stadium. I hope this works.

I might get one for the same reason. Is the broadcast on some frequency that only this thing can pick up? What stops anyone with a FM radio from tuning in?

No one. It IS an FM radio.

This is a far better deal.

    Sony SRF-59 FM/AM Radio Walkman

Sony Walkman quality (mine is 10 years old), much better sound with iPod earbuds, thin and light, it fits in a shirt pocket (I carry mine in a cargo pocket of my hiking shorts).

    $14.99 at Amazon.com

    Thanks, I never knew that.

The website makes it sound like they are doing a re-broadcast on private frequencies.

That would be new and disturbing. They have been broadcasting the regular radio feed on a special stadium antenna for over a decade now so that people can pick it up inside on the ramps. The LSU Sports Radio Network has traveled with a portable transmitter since 2004, which allows Tiger fans within a mile of the stadium the opportunity to hear the LSU radio call of the game during all road games by tuning their radio to either 95.3 FM, 95.5 FM, 96.3 FM or 98.1 FM.
