My bad... Should have stated that he has been offered.

Likely want him because Faulk has a chance to turn pro after this season and he is a huge beast.

The DL coach at A&M has moved on to the Pro's. This along with the WR hire should help in Tx.

Brian Bridgewater, TE out of BR picks up an offer.

Interesting, hopefully it doesn't mean we lack faith in getting Dobard and especially Smith.

He's a big boy at 6'6". Would be a nice target.

Connor Mitch picks up an offer from LSU, as expected.

Kid is really excited that LSU has extended an offer and is all over him. Calls the LSU program "elite".

Kragthorpe appears to have made him his #1 target for 2013.

I do not not know about DeSean Smith, but I'd say things are not looking very good for Dobard. I have spoken with him on Twitter multiple times, and the only things he responds to are the ones that say "we'll support you no matter where you go, it's your choice", etc etc. He has never responded to the LSU comments besides an occasional "lol" or something. But he is very responsive when things are said about him leaving LA. I know a few Tweets don't mean everything lol, but from talking to him for a few months now I just get the sense that he wants to leave LA. And on his most recent interview, he also said things were "iffy" with LSU right now.
(Sidenote: I also get the same impression from Diarse about leaving LA. Again, these are just some tweets, but he is also showing many signs that he will be leaving LA, and unfortunately going to Bama...)

I do not know much about where Smith wants to go, but I can tell you that he is absolutely the TE I want in this class. Would Dobard be a good consolation prize if Smith leaves? Of course... but Dobard would be an afterthought if Smith commits. Smith looks like an elite talent in that "joker" (or I like to say the "Jimmy Graham") mold. He is big and strong and fast and could probably levitate if he really wanted to lol... I like him a lot! Hopefully he is leaning to LSU, but I have not heard much about him recently.

Bridgewater is interesting because he was known mainly for his basketball talents until last year. He could also fit the "Jimmy Graham" mold, especially being a former Bball player. His brother went to LSU a few years back, so he definitely has LSU in his blood... just not sure if he will mainly focus on football or basketball in college, which could determine the school he chooses. He is raw in the football department, but also has some natural abilities that you just can't teach. He will be a very interesting prospect to watch over his Senior year.
