Byrd says in the article that LSU is the new Miami. True to a point maybe.. We actually have a fan base. Also, we get it done in the SEC with a VERY tough schedule.
We'll be featured on the home page of a lot of CFB sites up until next season, I enjoy the fanfare that comes with being the defending champ. That's a pretty good article although I could live w/o any comparison pieces about Miles/Satan forever.
I love seeing articles like this, and I want to keep seeing them. The media needs to be all over us and give us a top 5 starting position for this season. In all likelihood, they'll have USC and OSU (who will cancel each other out) ahead of us, along with Florida and UGA (both of whom we play.) If we can eek out a top 5 place, we're in a good position for making it to the BCSNCG if we do our job (a TERRIBLY tall order, though it is.)
I have every hope that we make it to the BCSCG but do not unreasonably expect it. If it does happen and LSU ends up with :crystal::crystal::crystal:, I will be the first to sh** kittens! :geauxtige
