Apparently the fan base is selling tickets because they don't believe we have a chance. It's not like they are losing money but some are trying to get 2 - 3 times FV. I've been offered 8 tickets in the last 4 days to the game. Two years ago when Bama came to town I didn't get a ticket until game day and that was a struggle. I asked everyone that offered tickets why they were selling. They were all saying just about the same thing. They are going to beat us, we have no chance, blah, blah, blah. Now I can't say that I disagree but it was unusual to hear. I heard things like I could easily see us getting beat by 4 TD's, we are going to get blown out, etc. I'm not sure what to make of this game. Everything that's probably been bantered about on this board would indicate a convincing Bama win. We can't score, McCarron is much better than ZM, etc. On paper this looks like a blow out in Bama's favor but Les seems to generally get his teams ready for games like this. I'll call it 29-10 Bama.
I've gone to two Bama games. One of them I got to watch Alexander's track meet. Sean, that is. The other, I paid $400.00 to go in '08 and we lost that one too. I got the message so I won't jynx us again. Of all the phucking teams to never get to see us beat, after growing up as a kid during the Bear's reign of terror.
Where did you get this information from? The Fanbase I run with is scrambling to buy tickets, every private limo/bus service in the area is booked with fans getting rides to the game, myself included. I know several people going to the game without tickets in hopes of getting some outside the stadium, these are true fans who are dying, in fact begging to get in to cheer on the Tigers! I don't hear anyone saying " we are gonna lose, let's just stay home shake hands look at all the empty seats on TV pat each other on the back and say job well done.". Go ask for your balls back from whoever made a set of earings out of them and get behind the Tigers. I'll be dominating section 103, bourbon screaming in AJ's ear, convinced I'm making a difference, if we all do our part we can do this thing!
Love it I bet you can smell the Whiskey downwind of the stadium for a good mile!!! GEAUX TIGERS beat the hell out of the GUMPS!!!!!
It's clear yellow bellies of a feather cower together. Read the power of positive thinking and try hanging out with non- Tulane fans. You ladies are an embarrassment. And turn in your LSU card on your way out.
To sell your tickets because you *think* your team is going to lose is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. If anything, everyone should rally and SHOW UP to support the guys. They need to know that we're behind them no matter the ending. And having those thousands of fans there really is a huge morale boost for the players... everyone knows that.
