Source? And how is this relevant? The University is a whole lot more complex than a football team and a basketball team.

Who says? Put up or shut up. I don't think you know squat about how LSU is funded. Athletics is a very small part of it. LSU is a land-grant and a sea-grant university and gets major federal funding. If LSU tries to turn into Swaggart Bible College THEN you will see some serious funding losses.

Say . . . are you Charlie McClendon?

Excerpt from an Alleva email received this AM:

    AN ERRANT MESSAGE

On occasion after a football game, we will send out a promotional email to fans asking for feedback on their experience in Tiger Stadium. LSU recently gained media attention for a photo that accompanied one of those promotional emails sent after the South Carolina game.

A photo was used of a group of young men called the “Painted Posse.” They paint themselves purple and gold and play a significant role in the energy in the student section. They also paint crosses on their shoulders as an expression of their religious beliefs.

As a public institution, we are careful not to imply endorsement of any particular religious belief, but a mistake was made in editing the crosses out of the photo before sending it out as part of the promotional photo.

We apologize for making this edit and in the future we will not make this kind of edit. This was an error in judgment and we have communicated our apologies to the group of young men represented in the photo whose school spirit is second to none.

That isn't an Obama problem, that's a problem that both parties share. We give way too much money to the military so gun manufactures can keep profiting. We give dictators a bunch of money until they stop playing ball, then we save the people with a little "democracy" when it's time to reap the rewards. Look at what Bush did in Panama. He hid the fact that they murdered over 3,000 innocent civilians so there wouldn't be a public outcry. Both Bushes coincidentally made their friends a lot of money when in office. Just a coincidence though, I'm sure... . This country has basically been set up to help huge corporations/banks maximize their profits. The prison system is a prime example of this travesty.

    Intelligent people curse too btw.

But where do we draw the line....Girls in shorts could offend ceratin groups who belive in covering, drinking displayed...the game is played on Saturday and i worship on that day so the game shouldn't even be shown...etc slippery slope to start having a social conscience for pictures of kids at a football game. My philosophy is offend everyone so no one can bitch !!!

If I take a LSU game picture and photo shop it and use it on one of my web sites you are saying it is ok no one is hurt . LSU would not think so, and yet they got the picture from where ?? Waas it LSU 's to use ?? Copywrite law maybe in the future here . It would be if i use a LSU game picture right ??
