That was a fun read. It sux that the td was called back but I guess it's good that it happened- lesson learned. Rather it happen against the gaytards instead of Bama or the bowl game.
WOW! Living in South Bend area, I watched Charlie Weiss coached ND. The opinion here is that Charlie only knew his Xs and Os but did not know how to teach/coach up young college kids. I wonder if the lack of discipline was Charlie's fault.
I think Muschamp backs off that statement, unless there was something already going on with those two players. New coaches always dismiss some troublemakers who can't let go of the last coach's policies and rules. But you don't dismiss a player for blowing one play. That kind of crap can really cause a coach to lose the team.
Exactly! If this happens and the other players and coaches see this, the head coach will lose all respect and loyalty from the team. His attempt at being Saban won't work, even Saban doesn't put players on the street like that. Our coach has been criticized for being too loyal to his coaches and players, but they all coach like, and play hard as hell for him. If you're a high school recruit watching the disposeable player mentality at Alabama and now Florida, where would you go and who would you want to play for.
Agree. I also had a coach on staff who lost the team/parents (this was high school) from making statements like that then recanting. One player in particular was tossed off the team a 3rd time over a period of a couple of years. It makes your words meaningless to show a pattern of letting a player/players back on. I told him at the very least, he needed to learn to say, "You're suspensed indefinitely" and give himself a window. He's no longer a head coach.
