THE RBs (not incl the FBs):

Ware, 5-11, 225 is the bull in Les Miles' Death Valley spectacles

Losing Ware for a week (remember recent hamstring tweak) = NP 4 LSU

Hilliard, 5-11, 225 is poised for a week's work as our premier "BIG BACK"

Ford 5-10, 202 is the slasher with the outside speed seldom used lately

Blue 6-2, 207 (third string back) has shown he can start for most teams

Magee 5-9, 205 (4th or 5th with Hilliard) has also drawn praise from Miles

Gore 5-9, 175 (lost in the pack) is a jitterbug back with blazing speed who lost reps due to fumbling

We're so loaded that Miles has gotta play them on special teams

POINTS YOU MAY OR MAY NOT KNOW:
    1. ALL THESE BACKS ARE SOPHOMORES OR FROSH
    2. HILLIARD CAN POUND AUBURN TO DEATH ... Did anyone see the run Hilliard made near the end of the third quarter at the LSU 20 yard line on 2nd and long ... This was on the 99-yard drive ... OMG ... I watched it a dozen times! LSU in a 2 RB set with a quick handoff to Hilliard ... Miles ain't fooling anyone! He's keeping this horse in the stable to gutstomp some folks! After the 13 yard run (up the gut) and a 15 yard personal foul, Tennessee was broken ... And the rout was on ... Hilliard NEVER played another down ... Auburn's gotta get some Saturday ... Bama? :yelwink2:

    THE DBs:
With TM & TS out due to suspension, we are taking a huge hit at Cornerback. It's Mo & Brooks (Malz of AU to try and test Brooks mostly) likely to see a long day of work. Jenkins & St. Julien will get some PT in relief, but maybe not too much.

Edit ... St. Julien is not with the team anymore ... Rocky Duplessis (Belle Chasse HS) and Eric Reid can play CB along with Brooks & Jenkins

I have no idea what to expect (passing wise) from this new Auburn QB (aka Cracker Newton) and how many passes he'll attempt! I believe he'll try to run on LSU and leave TS butthurt and dazed ... But if you're gonna test the LSU CBs, there's no better time than now to do it, and I believe they'll go back to their other QB early in this one!

    Was looking for shutout (45 - 0) before nonsense/suspensions.

    Now ... maybe LSU 35 - 10

We'll be fine at running back. A bit thin at corner, though.

I'd love to see what Michael Ford could do with 20 carries. I think he's gotten a raw deal the last few weeks.

Right, the depth issue worries me if these suspensions go beyond one game. But against a first-time starting QB and a thin receiving corps, I think we handle them with what we've got. I've got a feeling Brooks will give a better accounting of himself than some people might think.

St. Julien hasn't been on the team for months. Kinda hard for him to contribute...

They probably will be just as thin at WR.

Our thin at CB >>>>>> Auburn's thin at WR

These suspensions may make things worse for AU. LSU will play with an even bigger chip on their shoulders. And the guys getting a chance to play more will try their hardest to win a starting job. Either way, LSU will still roll.

I was wondering what happened to him. I haven't heard his name since they talked about him playing LMJ on the scout team before the opener.

Is it really fumbling or something else?

I would not worry to much about #10 Auburn QB beating you on the pass. 95% of his playing time has been on the Cammy CAM draws etc. Few passes I saw his throw were not very accurate. LSU defense will have him looking at the sky all day from his back side

I thought Reid played some CB last year too? He could slide to CB and Loston comes in at saftey and we are still no worse for the wear.
