I cant wait to see our DB's in action this year Mo and T-rex are going to be the best in the SEC and I think Loston and Reid will have a huge year. I want to see Loston do some Blitzing I think he will break a few bones on some Qb's if they turn him loose!! Guy loves to hit!!!:tigereye:
I think that Simon will be the most difficult to pass against out of the entire bunch. Dude is a natural, and is built like a windmill. A 6'3" corner can cover any receiver.
I agree with you, and Simon needs to start, and T-Rex needs to be the destroyer. Kind of like when Cedric the Entertainer was talking about when he said on Kings of Comedy, if black people played hockey there would just be this one brother skating around with no stick waiting to punish people. That's T-Rex, put that dude all over the place like a Troy Polamalu. Only drawback is you would have to play alot of nickel and have Mathieu at that nickel back position, and play him at corner also if you want him on the field all the time. But his one drawback is covering the long ball. Simon not so much he has that ability, we just haven't seen it from number 7 yet. It's funny because our biggest problem on defense is not having enough positions to put everyone on the field at once...
I've just never seen a DB that can cover people the way he does. He just waits back for the QB to throw it, then reaches his go-go-gadget arms out and swats the ball away. He did it to Wholio Jones when he was ice cold off the bench, and he did it twice in the spring game, both on damn good passes. Dude is freak. Let's not forget to give our props to Ron Cooper for assembling this deadly secondary. I don't know that I've seen a coach get more out of guys who didn't get all the notoriety coming out of HS (Simon & Matthieu). I honestly believe that this will prove to be the best secondary in the country when all is said and done, and quite possibly the best ever at LSU.
