These guys are going to be smothering opposing QB's. I look forward to seeing the tigers lead the SEC in sacks, and tackles for losses.

Talked with someone at the Baseball Game today, he tells me that Hunter is 6'5" and 235#'s. Gonna get a little playing time in this year...

Gonna be the scariest and deepest unit on this team, if not any team. Not to mention oldest looking. o_O

would be awesome if our defense keeps bama behind the fifty and scoreless in november. hopefully, with mett at the helm, we rack up lots of points on offense. lots of sacks on defense and a Crystal ball in january.

That will be difficult to do against a Saban-led team.

Ya know, there's two ways to look at this.

One example to consider as an analogy. How many times in the last few years have you seen Arkansas fans point to the individual rankings and bask in their QB being number one in total yards per game? Yet, when it comes to efficiency it's a different story.

Now, with sacks, I tend to look at it in the same light. Last year, Texas A&M led the nation in sacks but their scoring defense wasn't even in the top half of all D1 teams.

Last year you guys had 39 sacks like you mentioned and finished the season in the top 15. But, your scoring defense was #2 in the nation. The completion percentage against your defense was just over 50% against teams who averaged 10 or more percentage points higher than that.

You were able to disrupt the QB in the backfield. There is the bottom line.

    As I see it...

This is a very good point. I think people just like to see the opposing QB eating grass a little more.
