True. But tell me how satisfied you were in Pelini's first year here--especially his first 2 games?

    It takes time.

At this point in their LSU careers, Pelini was 2-1, Chavis is 3-0. We have Chavis now, Pelini is gone. I take Chavis.

did you miss the part where I said I hope Chavis has the same level of success Pelini had?
I'm not even close to being off the Chavis wagon yet.
But at the same time, i'm not ready to say pelini sucks at Nebraska.
both need a little time before making a call either way.

Are you talking about when Tyrod was a freshman in 07? He was pretty much thrown to the wolves in that game. Sean Glennon was so bad that Beamer had no choice. I think VT was already down 17-0 before Taylor even entered that one, but my memory is hazy.

I'm a Bo P fan, I wish he and Nebraska well, but there was no way that any QB was moving the ball on the Tigers that night, especially a one dimensional freshman like Tyrod at that time. Not to mention VT's offense is pedestrian and pretty easy to stop even today with a more experienced Taylor. Not exactly a feather in the cap for Pelini IMO.

    that was my entire point.
give Pelini the athletes and a few years to build a defense, and you get a pretty good outcome.

Chavis has a rep for being able to do the same thing.

no but it's Pelini's job in that huddle to make sure beyond any chance that the safety would in fact be there
