awesome - come on guys - way funny

 

I'm glad you all see the humor in it. I probably am "taking myself too seriously", but I still thought it was a little degrading to LSU. In light of what they did for Texas and UF, at least. Too each his own.

 

New Orleans is the "big easy"

 

i'm the opposite. i thought the LSU one was way better than the ones for Florida and Texas

LSU got a bright, colorful Purple and Gold LSU room with two guys applying LSU body paint, while Texas got a colorless/boring doctor's office with a doctor dressed in a boring outfit and some skinny/wimpy dorky-looking guy wearing a boring t-shirt and a boring hat -- and Florida got a colorless/boring weight room with a dorky guy dressed in a boring t-shirt

and Texas and Florida got ones that made their fans look like retards, while LSU didn't. what kind of loser gets his hand encasted with two fingers sticking out in a "hook em" and thinks that is cool? (even if you think that is cool, wouldn't it be less retarded for him to just do the "hook em" with his right hand, which was perfectly fine?) and what kind of loser goes to the weight room and does a gator-chop routine with the weights and thinks that is cool? (even if you think that is cool, wouldn't it be less retarded to use free weights/dumbells instead?) with LSU, on the other hand, you have two fans taking part in a classic tradition of college sports with neither of them acting like retards

i didn't see any humor in it. slapstick humor has never been funny to me (farting, fat people, people slipping and busting their ass, etc). for ex, the other day, i was talking with a group of people, and one of them was a fat guy, and another guy jokingly grabbed his man-boobs trying to be funny, and my friend laughed but i didn't. to each his own

i didn't like the LSU commercial because it made me laugh, i liked the LSU commercial because it's the first time i've ever seen LSU football fans getting love on national TV, and i was proud that it showed two cool-looking LSU guys (the fat guy looked like a cool guy to me) in a decked-out LSU room taking part in a classic tradition of college sports

honestly, the first time i saw the LSU one, i didn't even realize there was a fat guy -- i was too busy scanning the room checking out all the LSU stuff they had in there, instead of focusing on what the two guys were doing (so i thought i was looking at one guy lifting his arms so the other guy could paint his armpit). heck, re-watching it now, i just realized they have a third LSU guy sitting all the way in the back that i didn't even see

the fat guy they used reminds me of Jim Gaffigan: youtube that guy, he's a guy i think is hilarous

 

Thought the same thing. That commercial was better suited for Wisconsin or some midwest club.

 

Let me be clear -- the commercial is funny and I laughed at it.

I just don't think you should paint one school in a fairly negative light regardless of humor if you aren't taking shots at everyone in each commercial. That's all. Not going to lose any sleep over it.

 

If you can't laugh and poke fun at yourself, you are taking yourself waaaay too seriously.

 

Sad to say, I went out and bought and xbox and ncaa 12 the day it came out, and I'm 42 years old. :insane:
