So, from tonight's performance, what do you think about the way the coaches prepared the team, as well as the play calling? Did anyone hear the after the game press conference about what the players said about how they prepared in the weeks leading to the NC game? The offensive play calling was impressive IMO,and kept Ohio St. off balance. The execution on the part of the players was great, and with amazingly few penalties. The defense played up to their hype, with Dorsey and company dominated the Ohio St. offensive line. Dominating performance both offense and defense.:thumb:
The play calling was perfect! This was probably the best game CLM has coached since he has been at LSU. When we play like this no one beats us! :milesmic:
Well said! :thumb: Miles might possibly be the BEST "BIG GAME coach" in the COUNTRY!!!! YES! I said it! CLM is 3-0 in bowl games, 2-0 in BCS games and just puts up SERIOUS points in games that REALLY matter!!! Guys....we definately have a GREAT coach! It may have taken some people longer to realize it, but what we have now is something really special brewing at LSU. Great season to all!!!!
I think the coaches really prepared the players well with the proper mindset. In the days in New Orleans leading to the game, the players remain relaxed and seem to have fun, though remaining confident. I am starting to believe that Miles is a master at the mind game...he may look or act goofy at times, but he knows what he is doing.
Level headed! I believe OSU had 5 or 6 personal fouls. LSU played very smart football, few penalties and 1 turnover. Very well prepared team. GEAUX TIGERS!!! :LSU231: :LSU231: :LSU231: :LSU231: :LSU231: :milesmic: :milesmic: :milesmic: :milesmic: :milesmic: :geauxtige :geauxtige :crystal: :crystal: :crystal:
In the post game players conference, Matt Flynn said the coaches drilled into their heads during the preparation to play the game with controlled rage, play smart football. I was truly amazed how few the penalties were: that shows confidence and good preparation.. About the turnover, that would not have happened had Tolliver not turned the other way on the route, or if Flynn had not thought Tolliver was going to turn out. Case of miscommunication or misunderstanding, I suspect , on the part of the rookie receiver. However, he will be a great one:thumb:
I think if anyone has any questions about our coaching now, they really would have to be retarded. Even Pelini, I was a bit worried as to how much he'd REALLY be focused but he showed he's a man of integrity and work ethic- came through with aggressive game planning and obviously put a lot of thought/time into it. Crowton showed a lot of different formations we hadn't seen; therefore, OSU hadn't seen and they caught them with 'em. Miles said he was a bit concerned they were doing too much "Different things" preparing but he believed our kids could execute- have to be a good coach to take chances and get away from norms- props to him too and for believing in his assistants and also giving them a lot of credit in the media- I promise you that goes a long way.
Looked "Damn strong" to me. We scored 38 points on the nations #1 defense. :crystal: :crystal: :crystal:
