Several points: 1) Respect to Miles for sticking with JJ throughout the year. Starting JJ while he was slumping kept JJ confidence from evaporating. Great game from JJ! 2) Fake punt, didn't lead to points but great call. 3) 4th down play, great call. 4) Good job, producing points off McElroy turnover, didn't risk turnover. 5) Gutsy, gutsy call to let Lee throw deep in our own territory to RR to ice the game. They earned their paycheck today, LSU still in it for a great season.
Oustanding job by our players and coaches. The stadium was loud coming through the TV. GREAT JOB TIGERS!!!
That reverse on 4th. down was very tasty. I kind of kept hoping he would try it again. But a great game for Coach Miles. Forget the play calls, his team finally turned in a very disciplined effort in a very big game. The Tigers only had 5 penalties for 45 yards, and one of those was a necessary pass interference to keep Bama from a TD. And...........NO TURNOVERS! That's what I'm talking about!
The 4th down play was the best offensive play call of the season. Not only showed guts and confidence in the O, but to be able to go into the playbook and come up with a safe, aggressive play that you have not used all season was just brilliant. Well done, Coach Crowton!
