Why is it that LSU and Miles are having a post MNC that is a somewhat let down, and the press acts like we are a fraud. They joke about our defense, talk down about Miles, and in general act like we are yesterdays news. All because we are having a let down season. But... When UF had a massive let down season last yr and then got beaten by a horrible Mich team in their Bowl game, they still raved about them. And.... When USC, who has has the best talent in the country over the past 5 yrs, but still continues to lose a gimme game every yr. They praise Pete C as though he is the God of college coaches, and they continue to drink the koolaid of an under achieving USC group. Why is it we can't have a reloading season and still get the respect we deserve, when everyone else does. It ain't as if we are some group of bums that are going to have a 7 - 5 season. At worst we finish 9 -3 and get a good Bowl win. A 10 win season is respectable and keeps us a top 25 team. Not great but not horrible. If ee were anybody other than LSU we would still get our just respect. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!
LSU has looked horrible against UF and the D looked horrible against UGA. its hard to avoid widespread criticism of the demolition of a once great and highly praised unit. If there is a national consensus that you have a great D, you better have a damn good excuse for getting lit up numerous times. LSU doesnt have a damn good excuse. UF had a good excuse for a letdown year. absolutely no experience on D. this LSU team has only one obvious hole, and its not on D. Carroll and So. Cal get love because they always win. Every team has a bad game, but USC returns to dominance after theirs (granted,easier to do in p10) sorry, its not because of some congenital hatred for Louisiana.
We're talking about the LSU D that had to replace three starting DBs, two starting LBs, one all-universe DT and its coordinator, right?
We let two teams score 50+ on us. D has been less than impressive. They're still talking about us, which means they still care, but we have to earn media love on the field. Maybe USC and UF have a little easier time of it than LSU, but I couldn't care less if we're more overlooked by the media. When we get it done consistently on the field, they'll come back around.
