I very seriously doubt he gets fired mid-season. I truly believe Woodward will have his guy in place before pulling the trigger. That and the 2 sides have some serious mitigating to do.
There in lies the problem because if we screw this hire up we are in for some dark days. Dave Aranda could be the guy. The state of Louisiana knows him and he knows Louisiana. Find a can't miss OC and Aranda to look over his DC pick and that might work. Maybe bring Joie Brady in and with his pro connections he could fill the OC and maybe the DC positions. Beyond those two to me the others are gambles.
The problems there outside of the fact that Brady wants to stay in the NFL, is who is going to recruit? While both are phenomenal coaches on their respective sides of the ball and Aranda would bring a sense of professionalism and discipline this program hasn’t had since Saban left, neither like to recruit or were all that effective at it.
You got a point but who's left? Fickell? He doesn't know the SEC and can he recruit?. Napier? Sorry he's not ready we need a bigger name. Peterson? West coast knows nothing about the South. Stools? He would come here and I am afraid he would not work that hard and coast to retirement.
