We didn't need Kiner in to block down the stretch with the lead when Auburn was dropping 8 sometimes 9 guys into coverage. We needed him in to rush for 4-1/2 ypc. chew clock and extend drives. But we passed it 18 times in a row. We had the 3 possessions in the 4th quarter with the lead and didn't even try to run the football once when we had a RB (our leading rusher) on the sideline who was averaging 4.4 ypc. in the game and over 5 ypc. on the season. Yet you say that the defense lost us this game. You have to be fucking with us on purpose. Right?
The 8 and 9 into coverage I think you got wrong. You are one here who hates our O Line yet thinks we should have run more. What I saw with those Auburn so called drops were disguised drops hoping we take the bait. Don't you think they knew we wanted to run to burn clock? I would have used a disguised pass drop defense to bait us too. However I would have thrown more to our backs. Yes in my view defense lost the game however the offense certainly didn't help. Can't count how many times we could have iced the game had we stayed in our rushing lanes, not left our feet and not tried to make a heroic sack on Nix. O was adamant about just that yesterday I posted the same thing during the game Saturday if you read my post that night. Just my view.
you didnt make a prediction last week, so that doesnt count. and people want to discuss football not these constant predictions the same way you did with auburn.
Toss ups are not predictions just means you are not making a prediction or betting on the game at least where I live that's the case. You don't win money or bets with toss ups or no prediction as to who wins or loses. I bet nothing, lost nothing and didn't make a prediction so it's a wash. Guess you left out or forgot I posted here "I never make a prediction about Auburn vs LSU". I am talking football in fact a lot of football. Been talking a lot of football with multiple posters here. Brian, lsu_i_like, Don and LSU_4_LIFE. Maybe they don't agree with my opinions maybe they do. Back to being called a sunshine pumper again. Guess you missed that or maybe you are just cherry picking my post. Guess I will get banned yet again for my opinions, whatever. I am predicting an LSU win this weekend what's your prediction?
yes yet you claimed your non prediction stands. it does not. my prediction is you make another 100 posts about it but no one gives a shit.
OK at least you are making a prediction. Geeze didn't know me predicting we beat Kentucky would piss so many off.
So you have respect for someone making a prediction against Kentucky. But you didn't make one against UCLA nor did you make one against Auburn. So by that logic you shouldn't have any respect for yourself. I know I have no respect for your football acumen. Game predictions are meaningless. You can't know the personal situations going on. Whose family member is sick. Whose going through divorce or trying to kick addiction. You don't know when the SEC office is gonna overrule an obvious dropped pass and make it a catch to save Auburn. So those who predicted an Auburn win over Georgia State you have respect for even though it took blatant cheating? How about Memphis over Mississippi State.. few picked Memphis but they lost that game. That punt return alone had 3 egregious errors happen that I noticed live. Nah. Give me someone who can watch what is happening, absorb all the available data and regardless of whatever they may have said or though in week one they give their honest assessment at week five even if it is entirely different as long as it is based on the most accurate portrayal of what has been witnessed. That's evaluation. That's the search for truth. In 2019 I was the biggest O supporter. Defended him relentlessly as a changed man. I'm not clearly an ardent critic. Who is to blame? Orgeron. You like to make the honest observers the enemy for some strange reason. Probably to protect your fragile insular ego from being damaged by just how wrong your stances are. You seem intelligent but actually choose bad takes to support. I don't think you're Skip Bayless or Stephen A Smith though who are obvious trolls in it for ego and money and being pro wrestling characters rather than actual sports analysts. That's why I say you're a natural optimist, which is totally fine. It's also why you're clearly an oppositional personality or contrarian by nature. That's also fine. You just are intelligent enough to analyze your own behavior objectively and come to those rational conclusions on your own. Because you claim to know football but you marry yourself to absurd false views that you don't let go of which destroy anyone's faith or belief in your judgements being sound consistently. You thought our defense was as good as Georgia's weeks ago. That's fine. New data emerged. Saying it still is after that is not fine though. O has had one kinda good year, one great year, and one and a half and building disasters. The good are years removed and the only key figures that remain from those years are the ones leading us into the disarray of these disasters. But you need to see us play Kentucky. Come on man. No one wants O gone. That is gonna lead to humiliation for one of our own, our home state, our best year's coach, it will forever stain that 2019 team because he will be a negative when you compare historically great teams to one another. Saban and Osborne and Jimmy Johnson or Dennis Erickson or any of the great teams and their coaches will dwarf him in the comparisons. That sucks. We all wanted the best for O. O let us down. Your grief should be with him, not those of us who are just loudly pointing it out.
Man you don't seem to get it. Tell me you haven't read my many many post so many I got scolded by Tirk, it was a life changing event, hee hee!. In those many many post I have said that the buck stops with O, I said the offensive and defensive issues He yes HE needs to fix it and of course you well know I have posted we will beat Kentucky and if we don't he needs to go. I can handle a close loss to Auburn but cannot handle or justify a loss to Kentucky. Lastly tell me you haven't seen my post where I say if the sordid ugly part of the rumors about O are proven, and let me be clear, PROVEN true he should be fired now not later. Have not read any of what I just pointed out to you? You will not get me to side with you until this weekend or beyond.
Thats just it though. We’re not calling for his head just because he lost to UCLA or lost 1 SEC game. It’s the collective 8-7 record over our last 15 games coupled with the shitty coaching hires and lack of player development. Take that in combination with the harsh reality that most feel he was both unqualified and undeserving of the job to begin with. The fear of who most thought O was to begin with appears to have become a reality. After 2019 I danced in the streets and after 2020 I defended him ad nauseam to all these Aggie fans I’m surrounded by. I used the 2019 season and his record against top 10 teams as supporting evidence and they rebutted it was all Joe Burrow which is looking more and more like the truth. After 8-7, I don’t need to see a performance against Kentucky to see clearly that O is who I feared he was and that LSU will only fall deeper into irrelevance with him at the helm. Even with a win this weekend. The writing is clearly on the wall. I don’t worry about recruits or high profile coaches not wanting to come here either. Because the only way Ed can single handedly destroy the LSU brand, is if he remains the coach past this season while continuing this downward trend.
