We should have stayed in our rushing lanes, not left our feet and maybe even went to an extra nimble athletic DB just to rush and key on Nix. We did none of that.
Yep we were 5-5 last year but ended beating both Florida and Ole Miss whom we weren't supposed to beat. I will ask you same question I asked Don; Who's doing a worse job of coaching Jimbo or O? Mullins or O? Debo or O? I would really like your opinion.
E wasn’t the answer, but neither was a guy who has never done this. Jesus, we’re five games in and still trying to figure out how to get calls communicated to the field. With O sitting there, oblivious on how to fix it.
You pointed out 4 4th downs converted in another post, and I think on each of those, someone got a solid hit on him and he simply would not go down! It would be too painful to go watch the game film and break down each play, but I don't think the "adjustments" you're suggesting fix that main issue.
Okay, so we HAD some nice red zone stats. But in reality, we are just now getting into the meat if our schedule...AFTER being humiliated by a UCLA team that is also bad. The SEC stretch will not be pretty because we have no offensive line, and for some reason, the coaches have yet to figure out that we only have one RB who has the will to play, and that is Kiner, who had a decent series behind that shitty OL and then never saw the field again. And Max looked like what he is, an inexperienced sophomore QB who has been forced into being the starter too soon. My daughter was home from college this weekend, and made a comment about Max being no Joe Burrow when he attempted to run. I told her that no one else is Joe Burrow, but that 19-year-old Joe Burrow didn't see the field at Ohio State. This feels like the Curley Hallman era of a shitshow, and the only way out is to rip off the bandaid and hire a proven head coach, which Orgeron was not when we hired him after whiffing on Herman and Jimbo and not interviewing anyone else.
I wasn't excited about the possibility of hiring him, either. His claim to fame was also riding on the back of a Heisman Trophy QB. But he ran FSU into the ground before he left.
E wasn’t great but he wasn’t this bad. O should have replaced one coordinator at a time. Might have bought him some more time and goodwill. Ultimately what he should have done is what he promised and brought in a great experienced play caller, but his ego did him in.
You are right Max is no Joe Burrow but who is? Gonna ask you a question I posted here. Who's doing a worse job of coaching Jimbo or O? Mullins or O? Debo or O? I would really like your opinion.
