For Christ's sakes Don what are you talking about? You don't think Aub wasn't doubling Boutte? You don't think even when they single covered Boutte they didn't have a disguised double coverage scheme in place? You say that but at the same time Bech, Nabors and Smith were catching passes to make up we didn't throw to Boutte. We lost this game because of DEFENSE. We over rushed Nix and we let him convert four 4th down plays. THAT'S WHAT GOT OUR ASSES WHIPPED DEFENSE.
If you ask their respective fan bases, a lot of fans probably want Jimbo and Mullen fired this morning. But neither blew double digit leads at home and/or are 8-7 in their last 15 games. Neither have repeatedly lied to their fans, embarrassed their programs, have repeatedly made shitty coordinator hires and then had to rely on said coordinators to make or break them. They at least know how to coach one side of the football. We will lose to Kentucky next weekend.
You forgot A&M was supposed to win. Are they coached by a 7 million dollar idiot? Clemson has 2 losses and was beat by a team with 100 times less talent, are they coached by an idiot too? Well if O is an idiot, and he may prove to be, guess he is with some other highly regarded idiots like Jimbo, Debo, Mullins and Kelly.
Ahhh come on Life ya gotta do better than this flimsy excuse. You can pour sugar all over Jimbo and Mullins if you want but don't try to tell me Florida and A&M doesn't have more even much more talent than the teams that beat them last night, neither should have lost at all. Hell Auburn has more talent than Moo U and Kentucky. If O has to go then Mullins and Jimbo has to go with him. Oh and include Debo too.
none of that changes what happened last night. instead of comparing losses let’s discuss why we lost… kentucky will out will LSU and out work LSU, out scheme LSU and out play LSU… and Ky will probably not have to burn timeouts after dead balls….
Want to bet that doesn't happen next Saturday? What I saw last night is what I have been seeing since Tommy Hodson threw a pass to Eddie Fuller. Where have you been? This is always a hard fought close game. Even in 2019 we had to come back to beat these guys. DEFENSE GOT US BEAT LAST NIGHT.
