LSU played a little sloppy in the first half with a lot of turn overs, but they were the better team and came away with the win. Also this is LSU's first SEC road win, so it was a very important win. We need Mississippi, and Miss State to lose today, and we could move into 5th in the conference today.

JOB was a monster in the second half.

Also want to see Turner take more shots, he was 3-5 from down town

That frontcourt of Hamilton, Warren, and O'Bryant is beastly. They should make everything a lot easier for the guards to hit open shots and drive to the hoop. Hopefully can keep the momentum going!

watched the game and was pleased with the progress this team continues to make. As it was pointed out before, the first half was a little sloppy but it was clear we were the better team. Our last four games are all win-able which could potentially leave us with a very unexpected 20 win season. With a win or two in the SEC tournament we could make the NCAA tournament where anything can happen on a given night.

My excitement is probably premature but it's been a while since LSU basketball has given us much to cheer about and it feels good to be back in the conversation.

    Way to Geaux Tigahs!

Was it pretty? Perhaps not, but it's a 10 point win on the road. The encouraging signs are they outrebounded USC handily, and they got relatively balanced scoring (mostly post scoring, but better shooting %s from guards than in the past) to win without being too threatened. If they hadn't made silly turnovers, they would have won more convincingly.

And, the mantra continues.... win one game at a time, and keep playing hard. The other things will take care of themselves...

Case in point... Since the Mississippi State game, here's what's happened in the SEC.

Ole Miss gets their shorts handed to them vs UK and Vandy, in blow out losses.
Arkansas continues their tailspin (getting thumped by UF).
Miss State gets upset by Auburn last night, and have lost 3 straight.
Alabama wins against Tennessee who has surprised.

And LSU finds itself in a 4-way tie for 4th in the SEC. The game against Tennessee is HUGEly looming. But, we should not to overlook a dangerous UGA team. Just got to keep playing hard, gelling and getting better.
