http://espn.go.com/college-football...own-game-pounding-gators-defense-running-game Copeland said he really enjoyed playing this type of game: "Why is it fun?" Copeland repeated. "I can hit somebody and not get sued for it." "Florida has an offense that looks like it's on blocks in Muschamp's front yard. The Gators win ugly, and on Saturday, they lost ugly. LSU, after half a season of winning pretty, proved it hasn't forgotten how to win ugly. That might come in handy on Nov. 9 in Tuscaloosa. Hitting someone on every play has its pluses."
Isn't it funny how the perceptions are so different for an explosive offensive vs. a tough defense? The quote talked about us winning pretty, but we've been concerned about how many points people have been scoring on us. The media doesn't care about that, though--only about scoring points--regardless of how many points others score on you.
I thought yesterday was a pretty win, but then I grew up on SEC Football, not Big 12 err 10 and Pac14 style football.
Dropping the boom on each other. Kicking and elbowing in the piles. Snatching helmets off, shoving and smack talking each other. Then a hug and pat on the back afterwards. That's SEC football right there.
I watched the Ole Miss A&M game after LSU game. I was impressed with how both teams showed respect for the injured Rebel player. All of them down on a knee around him. That's very respectable. And it looked like Manziel took lessons from Tebow at just before the last play, Manziel and a few of his teammates took a knee, held hands and prayed. I admire that. Made me hate him a little less.
Yeah he did. He was the one praying though. Not sure if it was for the fg to be good or the injured player though. The player was at team meeting today Freeze said. No serious injury, that's good.
I am a big believer in the statement "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". I had a friend that married a darn near ugly girl, but he said "one man's trash is another man's treasure". Who am I to question that? I treasure SEC football above all others...
Alot was made of Mettenberger having an off game but I saw some things I liked from him. A couple of 3rd down throws that were on point, and the thing I liked the most was him shoving the Florida player back into the pile. I don't think he would have done that last year. May sound a little childish but I like the fire.
That was great! Dude got up in Zachs face and Zach was like. Bitch please! And shoved his ass into the pile. I lmao
