You beat me to it because I thought posting nothing spoke volumes of our collective opinion of the basketball program. Almost blowing a 20 point lead down the stretch squashed any excitement I had about this win. Meh.
Jones is somehow disproving the overwhelming truth that in basketball better talent wins games most of the time. Basketball. Talent wins. Pretty stunning. He's making Calipari's routine of juggling massive incoming inexperienced but ultra-talented freshman look Wooden-esque. Maybe it is, though, when all you can do is recruit. Our coaching is just deplorable.
Bad coaching plus average recruiting equals an NIT bubble team. Thats what we got. As exciting as this season could have been , could a disappointing season with this talent totally throw the program in the other direction? Was last season as high as its going to be for a while?
you haven't been following LSU basketball recruiting if you think we've had "average" recruiting under Johnny Jones. this guy is a veritable Les Miles
Maybe it's more of a home court thing LSU just sucks on the road. Only lost 3 at home all season. Wake, Alabama, and OU
This article shows LSU as an NCAA bubble team,.. do you guys have a conference tournament which could improve your chances? Seems to me the Tigers have the talent to win a game or two during March Madness. http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/bracketology
