With Patterson & Robertson redshirting that leaves the team with 2 open scholarships for this year(if I'm doing my math right). Both played at U Mass last year with Jarreau putting up 9pts & 5ast. Gresham is a big man & didn't play until 2nd semester & got off to a slow start. They are still saying they are a package deal & announced they were transferring mid April & are still up for grabs. They of course would have to sit out a year but would really add to the following years team. Plus they are Louisiana guys! Let's get em Coach!
Will Wade hasn't coached a game but is doing major work! Taday he got a commitment from Randy Onwuasor a 6'3 SG, grad transfer who will be eligible to play this season. Onwuasor played at Southern Utah & put up 23 pts & 6 reb a game. Bigger news is what's going on with Mitchell Robinson! Robinson is a 5 star top 10 center who originally signed with WKU. Robinson left WKU sometime in the last few weeks & it's being reported that he will sign with LSU this weekend. http://lsu.247sports.com/Article/LS...Western-Kentuckys-Mitchell-Robinson-105827751 There is still a lot up in the air with Robinson, mainly will the NCAA give him a waiver to play this year. Robinson is listed on multiple website's as a first round pick in next year's NBA draft. Either way I give Coach Wade props for putting us in the best position he possibly could for us to be competitive this year. If his coaching skills are half as good as he's been this off season, we've got ourselves a good one!
