Re: Hoops Recruiting (2009) Tommy Mason-Griffin's team played against Keith Gallon's team. TMG scored 36 points, and Gallon put up 24 and 15. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/hso/5411149.html
Re: Hoops Recruiting (2009) Will Brady be here in 09? watching this years team I am hearing some complaining & people saying he will be gone if things don't get better... I know injurys have caused major problems but fans want a winner anyway.
Re: Hoops Recruiting (2009) I think this is a complicated question. First, it's two years away. Second, this timing, the fact that Brady went to the final four a few years ago and the current LSU admin's view towards basketball (i.e., they are focused on winning and pouring money into football and baseball). Third, Brady and Butch have assembled some decent recent recruiting classes. The big question marks are how bad is Brady's team going to look at the end of the year and what is the current administration's appetite on making a transition right now be? As for how this affects recruiting, it's also a little early to tell. I personally don't think that Brady being gone will tremendously sway TMG or Brandon Mitchell, who were very early commits to LSU. Presumably as well, if LSU makes a change (we hope) it's for the better and they're landing a decent, if not top-notch, replacement coach. I think for the sake of next year's class, however, I am worried about a change affecting Bobo Morgan or the Atlanta boys. You see, as much as folks bash Brady, he has developed a rep for developing Big men. And, if a drastic change is made within the entire staff, ala Butch and Dollar leaving, I wonder if Graham, Harris, and Morgan would bail. Long story short, it's too early to tell right now. And, let's be honest, this is LSU not Duke or UNC. There are certainly a vocal small group of Brady ball bashers out there that want him gone, but the overall LSU fanbase is not writing Skip and AD every day to have Brady gone right now, especially given the Final Four, and the school is somewhat apathetic when it comes to hoops. I am worried that this team's erratic play is going to lead to another subpar year, however, and this puts additional pressure on the AD to make some decisions at the end of they year--no doubt. But, if LSU squeezes into the NIT, or finishes at least in the top half of the SEC, I'm feeling like no changes will be made this year. Next year, there will be some expectations that are much higher. And, you have to see who comes in after Skip. His stance on where LSU basketball should be will also have some affect on Brady's future. P.S. Some more recruiting scoop on TMG and the crew. Don't think this has been posted yet... Looks like Brady continues to follow big man Keith Gallon, and his former teammate Tommy Mason Griffin could give a pretty big boost to the backcourt... http://www.2theadvocate.com/sports/lsu/12527891.html http://coachtuk.blogspot.com/2007/12/houston-stuns-nation.html http://arizona.rivals.com/content.asp?cid=756235

Re: Hoops Recruiting (2009) SO WHAT BRADY WON'T KNOW HOW TO USE HIM HE WILL TRANSFER WHEN HE GETS TO KNOW THE REAL BRADY:geaux:
Re: Hoops Recruiting (2009) Sounds like BradyBashing is in this year.. Kinda sad in a way but I suppose if he didn't keep losing players every year for whatever reason he wouldn't be in this position..
