Losing 2 scholarships out of 13 really is'nt that bad is it? I mean most teams only play 8 or 9 guys.

So, its reported today from DDon that LSU is now also looking at Eackles. Good bloodlines, for sure.

As for Brandon West, I think he's got to be a priority. Yes, there are some academic issues, but that's what all of the support network is there at LSU for. I think the staff really is there not to look at him play, b/c at 6'10" with heft, and a 7-4 wingspan, it doesn't look like anyone LSU is in on in the near future has got that kind of size. But, they are there to interview him to assess his mind and attitude. With a guy that big, even if he is green, he instantly gives LSU a defensive presence down low and someone that the SEC has to match up with with size, which right now in the SEC is a rare commodity.

The question I have is when will we find out what his grades will be? Can LSU give a "soft offer" contingent on the kids grades? Does the kid sign with someone else if that's the case?

Funny thing about academics. Another top LA player Joevoskie Mitchell, may have been arguably the best LA prospect, but doesn't have his academics in order either. This 6'4" SG may be someone to watch in a couple of years...

Its actually pretty bad. When you have turnover from graduation/draft you dont have the multiple youngsters that are ready to play.

Well it looks like LSU could be back in the running for Cousins.

He said he is opening his recruitment back up and starting from scratch.

Hmmm. About all I've been able to find is that Demarcus is unsure as to what he'll do. He hasn't had contact with Calipari since this a.m. and is waiting like everyone else. Folks predict that he'll seriously consider UK. But, obviously this is interesting news for LSU if CTJ wants to get back into the mix.

Man, this is a tough situation, If I were Trent, I probably wouldn't waste my time.

Good thing that I'm not Trent.

Isn't UK pretty much full on schollies anyway counting Orton and the other guy they had locked up for next year? (And assuming Meeks and Patterson return)

im pretty sure i remember andy katz saying that uk oversigned by 2, so it really looked like meeks and patterson were going, or they will push someone out.
