Re: Hoops Recruiting (2009) It seems like a uncomitted recruit would welcome the chance to come to a top 25 rated team, probable SEC champion & a opportunity to start next year at center.. I just don't understand what the problem is.. Lack of tv coverage ?? haha.. I guess maybe these guys that are left for 09 are not what TJ is looking for in terms of fitting in & character??
Re: Hoops Recruiting (2009) I'm hoping CTJ has a surprise up his sleeve, maybe someone we don't know about.
Re: Hoops Recruiting (2009) So, as expected, Sidney announced he'd be going with USC. Sometimes, a class's success depends on the overall feeling of being part of a class that's special, and it seems as though USC put together a group of 4 top kids including Sidney's teammate. I think with CTJ and staff's late coming to the Bayou, it was hard to put that kind of momentum together for that kind of class so quickly. Different story for 2010, though, as LSU could put together that kind of class that is deep and fills various positions. Let's continue to hope for that surprising signing in the spring, though.
Re: Hoops Recruiting (2009) It's a bittersweet day for mens' hoops. First, congrats to the Tigers on an awesome, ESPN, Mardi Gras win against Florida and Billy D. But, as we bask in this year's great run, we eliminate two more potential LSU recruits for 2009. Dashonte Riley, according to Rivals, is down to Marquette and Syracuse, publicly, and eliminated LSU. Trenton Marshall also unbeknownst to me has signed a LOI with Jacksonsville State. We are essentially down to Jenirro Bush, MJ's son, and who else knows. I think signing Bush would be very nice to complement a squad of scrappers and unknowns next year. With Bo and Tas' coming back and really being the one-two punch, you are surrounding them with a talented SG in Dotson, Bush could really squeeze in as potentially a starting SF, Tas' at PF with Storm Warren backing him up, and then we'd be relying on Garrett Green and Dennis Harris in the middle. You would have loved to see an All American on that line, but we may be stuck with a well coached CTJ team of overachievers, eh? :thumb:
Re: Hoops Recruiting (2009) no, harris and green should step right in for johnson and q. they each have a redshirt year to learn from the best. warren will back up taz and possibly start next year.
Re: Hoops Recruiting (2009) so if green and harris replace cj and qt then how will warren start? over tas? or are you saying tas will leave?
Re: Hoops Recruiting (2009) Trent was on Jordy's show this morning and indicated he would be visiting Cousins today ("I'm going to see a kid in Alabama")
