Did you mean, 6'6 and playing in 1-A? There's your answer...he's literally head and shoulders above everyone on the court at that level. Saw him the other night against Central Catholic, who doesn't have anyone taller than 6'1. When allowed to run the baseline, he showed some quickness and goes to the hoop with a vengeance. But when CC started getting physical with him in the 2nd half, he disappeared. Bottom line, he only had 14 points from the floor against a team at a huge height disadvantage. He'd better bulk up for SEC play, or he's going to be a non-factor.

Yeah, I remember seeing that. But most folks have him staying in the Midwest, angling for a Illinois or Mich St. schollie. Not sure how serious the interest is. No doubt, though, with most of our guards leaving after this year, there's going to be a need for more scorers all round.

Perhaps our fans will show up if MJ is in the stands eh?

I have a feeling that CTJ has a surprise or otherwise has a Spring signing that folks didn't quite see coming. He can definitely make the case that LSU could very quickly be back at the top of college basketball with a few very good recruiting classes and some solid coaching... perhaps Marcus Jordan wants to be a part of that. I'd be happier with a Dashonte Riley signing, though!

I agree but you gotta admit it would be nice to see MJ in Pete's Palace wearin a little purple and gold! it would help fill up the stands and if his son played a big part of the team you gotta wonder how that would affect recruiting

If you read up on Marcus Jordan, it's an interesting call tho' b/c actually he's a PG. A 6-2 relatively athletic point guard who prefers to run the team and set the offense in motion. With Bo Spencer finding new game, Chris Bass as the understudy, and potential 2010 recruits like Phil Pressey, it's hard to say that we need another PG... No doubt it would be interesting lineage to add to the PMAC, but I think the focus will be on Bigs.

The reading ive done on Marcus Jordan, they seem to use the term combo guard a lot. I don't think its a bad idea to have one of those. Don't get me wrong im with you i think we need to concentrate on bigs but MJ is not a bad consolation prize. If Bass or Bo goes down that leaves us with one PG, same with Dotson and Farrer and much of the reading says hes improved a lot over that last two years so it's possible he could hold down a starting spot. Plus i think it wouldn't be bad for CTJ to develop a relationship with MJ it might not be bad for recruiting. Again i'll if we can get a good big lets go big but I don't think it would be a bad idea to pick up a good combo guard with good bloodlines.

P.S. You ever check out any Longhorn game's? I try my best to like them cause I live in TX

In both instances there was another brother who was quite the star. Jaeson was a headcase, but he definitely was All-SEC material if not for the repeated weightlifting injuries.

Luke Walton plays for the Lakers now.

Quit focusing on Josh and Adam.

Look, if this team didn't need immediate help, I'd probably agree with you. Can't go wrong with MJ in the PMAC right? I just think it's a long shot. Who knows why MJ (the second) lists LSU, perhaps it's CTJ being active on the summer circuit and getting LSU's name out. Perhaps it's the respect that CTJ gets as an honorable college coach in today's game. But, my honest assessment is that if we had the option of signing one or even two guys in the spring, it'd be for folks that bring near term impact to the court. To me that's at least one solid Big (in the Sidney or Riley caliber) and one more solid scorer (SG or SF that can shoot or create offense). A Combo guard would certainly fit the bill if that person could create offense... just not sure the younger MJ is that. Moreover, keep in mind that 2010 is a class full of guards... i.e., Pressey (PG), Galloway (combo), Swilling Jr. (combo), Williams (SG), Derenbrecker (SG/SF). All kids pretty interested in the Tigers.

If I were CTJ I'd try my hardest to land Riley and/or Sidney and/or go after a JUCO or undiscovered scoring gem at some guard/SF position.
