It makes a difference because if the team rules are that you go to class, it must apply to everyone or JJ truly will lose the team. If he hasn't already. It may not make sense in a vacuum but he has to follow the rules like everyone else.
http://www.tigerrag.com/basketball/...nes-absolutely-satisfied-with-tigers-effort-1 An excerpt: Johnny Jones didn’t even blink. Asked if he was satisfied with his team’s effort right now, after a winless week in the SEC, LSU’s head coach promptly affirmed. "Absolutely,” he said. "We’re sitting there second place in a very tough league. Would we like to be in first place? For sure. But I think these guys have done an excellent job positioning ourselves in one of the tougher leagues in the country and competed at a high level.” I think it's time that Alleva asked JJ to take a whizz in a lab bottle.
Ok @ParadiseiNC , see, the aforementioned Co has now weighed in. Look, I get it, it does get tiresome but the facts are the facts. We could all come here and lie to each other about how great things are but then we'd be an atm board. We are doing exactly what a forum does, talking about LSU sports honestly. Some of us.
I'm not sure you get it Shane. As you said the facts are the facts and most of your so called rayban group have expressed their problems with Les, CJJ and Manari coaching and results. That IS NOT saying how great things are... We're not all Red and taint defending every single move. I believe you can criticize without the extremely viscous personal attacks on both the coaches and their defenders. What is tiresome is the defensive responses so many of the "toss the coach he's an idiot" group give to any comment that doesn't fall in line. It also seems that since you all didn't get what you (and many of us in the'rayban' group) wanted last fall there is one continuous tantrum finding every negative possible and screaming your not happy. That should have ended when you passed your terrible 2s.
things aren't great but they're pretty good, just not LSU good... basketball is a major disappointment....now we'll see in the next few days if they play hard or puss out without hornsby football was a major disappointment, but remarkably finished with a great class, hired a great DC and rebounded with a replacement for frank in nola, clm has said changes are in the air (wait and see but i think he's coaching for his job so i'm optimistic), we still haven't seen a contract for cam so maybe he is nfl bound. baseball is going to be fun so hell, that's my honest opinion. the part that gets everyone's panties stuck in their ass is the part that questions how good a fan you are based on how much you offer criticism based on what you see.... last time i looked, everyone was here cause they are passionate about LSU, for one reason or the other. really no need to question/measure their "fanhood" all the damn time. i'm not sure anyone on this site is a qualified judge so get yer panties out of your asses and quit acting like a bunch of angry menopausal fat women...my gawd.... of course if we'd quit talking about this it would be over with, but i keep posting about it....
Cough cough bullshit The funny thing is yeah, a lot of you absolutely were on board. Bunch of cry babies
I don't have a problem with legitimate criticism. Obviously legitimate is in the eye of the beholder. I think JJ is in over his head. In my mind he severely lacks game management skills. I don't lose any sleep over a loss and still wear P&G.
goddamn if that didn't sound like a Les Miles response I know I've made the comparision, but gee wiz I didn't know it was this bad
I understand it's hard to poo poo too much on an LSU head basketball coach who has recruited better than anyone since Dale Brown (nearly 25 years have passed). So I get his frustration that we just seem to be negative for negative sake. But man if you can't see the obvious that this guy is simply not an SEC level head coach, then I don't know what to say. Great post.
Johnny Jones is the 36th highest paid college basketball coach. If LSU seriously wants to win at hoops they need to pay enough to attract a winner.
