I'm hearing the boys narrowly lost to Tejas in a closed scrimmage. Used two point guards to deal with Bamba and shot lights out (50% 3s). Will v Shaka and they played at Rice, the other asst and VCU coach was there before replacing Wade. Don't go buy final four tix but I'm thinking the preseason predictions will be off. And not just a little bit. Auburn has had a stake put in its heart with the FBI thing. I think they are a lock for last.
Alcorn St @ 7pm. The 2017-18 men’s basketball season begins Friday night at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center when the Tigers host Alcorn State in a 7 p.m. tipoff. Tickets for the game start at $1 and will be available during the day Friday at the LSU Athletics Ticket Office and online at LSUTix.net. The upper concourse ticket windows of the Maravich Center will open at 5:30 p.m. as will gates. LSU students are admitted free with a valid student ID. It is one of the designated Student Point Nights for credit for future ticket privileges. The game will be broadcast on the affiliates of the LSU Sports Radio Network with the “Voice of the Tigers” Chris Blair and former Tiger head coach John Brady on the call. The game will be video streamed on the ESPN app and ESPN3 with Lyn Rollins and Victor Howell on the call for SEC Network+. There will be a Fanfest outside of the Maravich Center from 5:30-6:30 p.m. with a live band, inflatables and a face painter and the student lounge will be available from 5:30-6:30 p.m. At halftime, the Flying Houndz Dog Show will entertain the crowd. Posters and schedule cards will be available for distribution in the Fan Zone and there will be a MacBook Air giveaway for LSU students.
