Couldn’t get that final momentum shift late in the 2nd half. Missed too many FTs that would have closed the gap nicely. Didn’t take enough shots in mid 2nd half. Bama played solid in the post and on defense. Kudos to them for that. Very frustrating loss.
Hard to get too upset, the team is still pretty raw. Even though it was terrible timing, I loved WW’s technical. Hope we can win enough to make the post-season. We’re going to struggle against gritty teams - we’ve got a bunch of finesse guys. Rebounding has been tough all year.
In a way I kind of expected the loss. This team is still in the learning stages and after two big road wins a less than stellar performance was to be expected. They are still in the early stages of learning the process of sustaining momentum. There will be highs and lows throughout the season but they are light years ahead of anything Johnny (#zerowithabullet) Jones ever put on the court. Lets see how this team responds not only to this loss but how they are playing in late February and early March. Could it be madness?
...despite the talented team, I'm glad we're not Auburn and we don't have a coach like Pearl. Looks like they may have a good AD though. https://amp.usatoday.com/amp/1050246001 The NCAA will do nothing until the FBI finishes their investigation. That could take a very long time. They're VERY thorough. Pearl should be fired ASAP though. Wonder what his buyout is...given that Auburn gave him a second chance. What were the dynamics behind that hire ??
Not good news here... http://www.nola.com/lsu/index.ssf/2...d_tim_quarterma.html#incart_river_mobile_home
We played 3 really encouraging games Kentucky through Arky, and can’t get over the hump the past 3. Sucks.
