saying the womens team would win is a fairly typical midwit gambit. i have heard it thousands of times, especially because i am a soccer fan. its never true, its never close to true, its its never a useful or amusing observation. again, your criticism is generally based on shrinking the sample size. you take a game they won and post 40 negative things until they win. its silly. you cant win every moment of every game. wise man takes a broader view.
that final play from LSU was brilliant, KJ williams came up tp set the pick, set up for a 3 and stayed there, the defender big had no choice but to stay. the winger pulled towards the top of the key, the lane was empty of humans. one spin and it was over, easy path. this is why big men must shoot. modern big man has to be able to drag his man up and out of the lane. KJ can for sure.
negatives huh. right, hill is a disappointment (hit winning shot with 2.1 seconds left), you felt like we struggled, D didnt earn whatever, shooting 3 is a bad foundation, not much from miller. any positives after a win vs an ACC opponent? or how may people should be fired?
ok ok cheer up then well thats not good shit huh? wow, you seem like a glass half empty fella yeah stay negative yeah witty observation. maybe the women can beat wake like LSU just did. and won the game, mr negative by all means be pessimistic yeah "babies". well also the actual victory yeah terrible win but they won. see a pattern here? nitpicking every 30 seconds during a win? a dozen posts about how shit they are during a win? dont shrink sample sizes. even lebron is shit in two play stretches
I guess I’m usually talking to myself and the one person who interacts feels the need to be right rather than participate in a two way respectful conversation, I can keep it to myself. I do run through the ups and downs during the game and gave credit at the end for a good win. You say bubble, I say NIT when things were looking bleak early, in the grand scheme doesn’t sound like you and I are too far off.
being right seems like a decent goal. if you feel the need to be wrong thats your life i guess. well thats at least half true. a team that struggles for 10 minutes is not shitty. thats basketball, its about wins. if you are shit for 20 minutes thats fine if you win. and even if you win by 50 there will be times when there are 3 possessions in a row that suck ass. there will be moments when you cant shoot, cant pass, cant dribble. but the game isnt scored by 10 second stretches. we have a program here that had zero players. zero. now they are 8-1 after beating a major conference team. and for real the one loss was stolen from them. this season so far has to be considered a MASSIVE success . there is cause to be optimistic. not every 5 seconds hating something else. some fans even like to hilight the good and the fun things! there is nothing wise or sophisticated about always being a critic. you said they would be lucky to make the NIT. and again, you shouldnt be making judgments when things "look bleak early" from a 6 minute span as if a tiny little sample size from a game they won vs an ACC opponent at a neutral site is enough to predict disaster. the small mind shrinks sample sizes to fit his agenda. teams filled with players that have mostly never met each other or the coach tend to improve over time. no need to predict catastrophe after every turnover and call the players "pathetic" "children" with no coordination and look like shit. its just stupid.
coach says he likes an 8 or 9 man rotation. he also says players can move from deep into the bench into starting and back via practice effort and performance. the rotation is not set at all yet. some players seems to play more or less quite a bit. derek fountain has picked up huge minutes and a starting spot. cam hayes as well seems to have earned minutes. the two highly ranked freshman have not been awesome. jalen reed has been good, and tyrell ward, the higher ranked of the two, has not been a factor at all. note: justice williams is over his ankle injury and cleared 100%. he had been in street clothes for a few weeks.
another win vs a bad team. good practice. winthrop should put up a fight on saturday hayes took wilikinsons starting spot. fountain continues to look very good
i like to look into the careers of former players. bryan penn-johnson, who i think i was immature and a head case, went off to some east lost angeles or something, like a last chance U, and got his shit together and is now doing ok at cal poly. courtese cooper got caught with drugs or something maybe and is now at southern utah. aundre hyatt is finishing up a quality career at rutgers. james bishop a hard working PG i always liked, is scoring 22 a game and looking pretty damn good at james washington. good for him. he is legit. brandon murray, who is awesome, is averaging 15 for the hoyas, and i would imagine playing awesome defense and being all-around great. eric gaines is averaging 10 a game, presumbaly in a frantic and wild athletic style for UAB we saw jerrel colbert this season already in the caymans, riding the bench for K state. alex fudge is scoring a solid 8 PPG for florida. he can dunk it hard. x pinson is scorin 13 a game and starting for new mexico st. efton reid is fouling a whole fuckload in tiny minutes at gonzaga
