i see, so what sort of standard in terms of winning would you hold this guy to? this guy riley tends to lose more games than wade does. worse record at a lower level. not sure why he would be an upgrade. like for instance would you require him to win the SEC every season or fire him? what would you classify as a successful season in terms of wins and rankings, the tournament etc? do you require, for example, undefeated, national title every year?
are you aware that wade has been elite in terms of winning in the SEC? would you prefer a coach, that, for example is bad at recruiting, loses more games than wade, but his shit players show massive improvement, owing to good coaching? seems to me that ultimately the goal is winning. is that correct? or is some other sort of fucking faggotry that you use as a dumbfuck metric?
sounds familiar. one difference is that wade won the SEC in his second year whereas your guy didnt and still hasnt, and is only .500 now in a shit conference. 3 years at south alabama: 33-26 wade in 4 at LSU, after inheriting a disaster: 50-29 i am not mathematician, but wade is much better. wade also was head coach at VCU and chatanooga, with a winning % at those schools of 778 and 794. thats dominant. your guys is at a shit school, winning under .600. but he is an upgrade? by what metric?
agreed, the goal is winning. isnt it? are you being sarcastic so you dont have to make a real point and defend it? you guys keep implying that you know of some other more important metric than winning for coaching. you dont want to say it directly because it would be such a stupid point. so you hint at it with sarcasm.
deflection noted you guys keep implying that you know of some other more important metric than winning for coaching. you dont want to say it directly because it would be such a stupid point. so you hint at it with sarcasm, then deflect when i point it out. you wont define a reasonable metric for success, because you want to leave room for irrational criticism, so your metric is vague and nebulous. you will couch these vague criticisms as "funny" sarcasm, then always refuse to specifically define what, if not winning, is the goal of the game, and coaching. also you dont seem to understand how logic works, as you will present "improvement", as a metric, and then i will demonstrate how that makes no sense with counterexamples, which you refuse to understand, preferring to repeat inane non-sequiters related to les miles of all people, presumably harkening back to some rhetorical victory you imagine in the past. can you describe what constitutes a successful season for a big school basketball coach? i can, in very specific detail.
Before Will Wade, we had not had a winning record in the SEC three years in a row since Shaq. In fact, we have only had consecutive winning seasons twice; Brady did it once and Johnny Jones did it once. Be careful what you wish for.
I’m trying to remind myself to be patient, but basketball has changed from program development to team development with one-and-dones. It’s frustrating to get the defense improved only to have the offense collapse. A few weeks ago we were a potential 1 seed; now I question if we’re a lock. If we get in as a high seed, that is no improvement from last year.
